Weekend Warriors: Stress Less

Hi Y’all..
The Weekend Warrior gals have come together to bring you some Stress Less tips.
As much as we try to accomplish everything and be our best for our students…
Stress is always there.

To help with stress, I started getting massages.
My first massage was last month and it was fantastic.
Honestly, I was a little creeped out by the idea of a complete stranger rubbing their hands all over my semi-clothed body.
But the stress that was building up in my back and neck was driving me insane.
And my husband refused to give me a massage longer than 10 minutes (jerk).
So I bit the bullet and signed up for my first massage at Massage Envy.
It was awesome…so awesome I signed up for a monthly membership.
I don’t know if my stress level has decreased but I really love knowing that I have some time each month devoted to relaxation!

One way I need to improve on stressing less…is by saying no more often.
I’m pretty much up for helping anyone, anytime.
I don’t have children of my own and my weekend schedule is pretty flexible…
So I take on jobs or roles that I really don’t need to take on…
Then I spend too much of my personal time stressing out about completing tasks…
I need to learn to de-stress by letting someone else handle it.

What do you do to stress less?
I’d love to hear your tips!

Oh my I love this post! I love that the hubby is thrown under the bus for not massaging. But you know what..there is something about going to get a "real" massage anyway. And I agree – I was unnerved my first time, but they are pretty fabulous and relaxing!

Good for you Vera! Taking time to treat yourself to a message is a great idea. I've only ever had one. It was weird at first, but I quickly got over it! If only I could learn to say no… life would be so much easier!

While I tend to binge eat when I'm stressed, I think a massage would be a healthier option to relax. An excellent body massage from a well-experienced therapist could really reduce stress and rejuvenate our body, rather than diving in to unhealthy stress eating habit. In any way, thanks for sharing this to us, Vera! Cheers!
