So I am typically a ‘Do it Yourselfer’. I’m all about figuring things out and exploration.
HOWEVER, this blogging stuff is hard. The only child in me gets quite jealous when I see blogs that look stunning. Bright colors, fun graphics, and cute buttons. I want a cute blog. NOW.
Part of me is very proud of the research and work I’ve done on my blog since the beginning. But I know I want it to be better. I also know that my “spend time to work on my blog” time will be limited as I prepare for the big move to Bedford. So I say all this to ask…
If you did not design your blog, who did?
Can you recommend a great (not too expensive) blog site?
Or should I stick it out and work at making this site better on my own? Figuring out the kinks and what not?
Hi Bera!
I'm your newest follower and I was in the same boat a few months ago! I was trying so hard to research how to do it all myself but I finally got to the point where I wanted it done right, right now! 🙂 I fell in love with some clipart and contacted Lauren from The First Grade Diaries and she put it all together for me. There are tons of talented people out there who I'm super jealous of, but Lauren just happened to be there at the right time for me! Stop by and check out her work at my blog!

I did not want to spend any money-so I got my background from Hot Bloggity blog. There are some free places out there.

I used Dreamlike Magic =) She was fabulous and easy to work with…not super expensive either.

Thank y'all for your help! I think I made up my mind (finally). Since I've got to get packing and spending time with my loved ones…I'm going to see if Dreamlike Magic ( dreamlikemagicblog.com/) can make my blog. She is reasonably priced and the work is so bright and colorful! And she has one blog design that includes stars and rainbows! I die!
thanks again,
Vera
I just posted on how to design your blog yourself – but I have to say yours turned out lovely! Good choice! I'm your newest follower and can't wait to share ideas. Stop by my blog when you get a chance!

It looks like you made the right decision! I just stumbled across your blog and LOVE the look of it. I think it will pay off in the end. I'm in the same predicament, I spent all last summer trying to DIY on my blog, only to decide this summer that it doesn't quite look professional. I found a designer I like but her wait list is very long- happy to see some other ideas of designers here. I'm your newest follower.(I found your blog while looking through some of your items on tpt. love them.)
