When newly waxed floors make you cry

Today I emptied out my classroom.

My room for 5 years is now completely bare.

Nothing on the walls, no tables or chairs, and a sparkling clean floor.

This afternoon I walked the hallway to my classroom.  Midway I was stopped by our school’s head custodian.  I asked her if the room was finished…as soon as she answered I started crying.

I cried for the memories in that room; the laughter, the learning, the fun.
I cried for the experiences at my school; the potlucks, growing as a teacher, the relationships.

I stood there in the hallway of my school, in the arms of our head custodian and I cried.

The pictures do not do justice to the emotions I have..
Change is hard.

Aww I am so sorry! But I can totally relate. I packed my bags 8 years ago in Kentucky for a new adventure in Tennessee. I will say I LOVE it here….just like I did there. Best of luck to you in your move. You WILL make new and wonderful friends, and you WILL get to have more potlucks and make new memories. Praying for strength in this difficult time!

Change is hard because I think most teachers not only can be creatures of habit but our classroom is our 2nd home. I would be crying too. But God is putting you where He needs you and you will touch hearts there too! =)

I am a new follower to your blog. If you ever need anything let me know. I just shared some cute monster *freebies* that I would love for you to check out. *Freebies* will make you feel better! =)

Thank y'all for your kind words. This has been a hard time for me but the love from my friends has been wonderful. I think what has been even better is the love I receive from complete strangers. I am looking forward to my future in Bedford and my life with my Mr. Roboto. I know that God has a plan for me and he has done nothing but bless me so far!
